Securing the top spot for the Welsh sites in this year’s Top 100 is Tyddyn Isaf on the Isle of Anglesey. The well-deserving winner sits pretty overlooking Lligwy Bay and offers standard and premium pitches for motorhomes, caravans and tents set across 5 fields. Each of their touring pitches is within 200 metres of a luxurious toilet and shower block, which were recently awarded Platinum Loo of the Year.

You might struggle to leave the site at all – visitors can pick up food and essentials at the Market Place, along with baked goods, local produce or treat themselves at the Hen Ysgubor takeaway or licensed coffee shop, while a scenic footpath leads straight from the site to Lligwy beach. If you can drag yourself away, you’ll find local attractions like Mynydd Parys mountain, the Copper Kingdom centre and several mesmerising beaches nearby.

The large, hardstanding pitches are serviced by modern washrooms and visitors can enjoy the 10 acre dog walking area, doggy pond and a training area. Nature lovers can often spot birds of prey visiting the site, or take a wonder to the coarse fishing lake.

South Wales Touring Park

The quiet site is well positioned near the A55, so visitors can reach the national park and beyond with ease, including the attractions of Colwyn Bay and Llandudno.

A short walk from the site, visitors will find the towns Porthmadog and Borth-y-Gest and the beautiful Black Rock Sands beach is a 7 minute drive away. Back on site, there’s a shop, games room and restaurant/bar along with a patio complete with heaters.

Facilities on the site include heated washrooms with a family bathroom and laundry amenities. Guests can also walk to the nearby pub or stay on site for lunch, cake or afternoon tea at the cafe.
